Hi All..I just received my new Bender from Erik Lee saturday..All i can say about the cue is it is fantastic.. Mike is without a doubt a true craftsman.. I have always played with Schons and wanted to try something that was wood to wood...I surely made the right choice here..Also i would like to say that Erik is a very honest person to deal with..I made an error in payment that would have benifited him greatly and he fixed it immediatly..I will upload some pics as soon as i figure out how to do it on this site..Not knocking my Schon here..Just like the hit of the Bender... I will be selling my Schon cue real soon ..Let me know if your interested..I will send some pics via email..It is a Ltd that was made in 98 or 99..Excellent conditon and comes with 4 shafts...19.20 oz..Send me a pm and i will get back to you..Again thats Mr Bender for making a great cue and to Erik for making the transaction a good one...Don Iverson
 
Mike makes some of the best cues in the world, IMO. He is famous for his re-cuts, I ordered 2. the first one I'll have in Feb. 06, and the second one in Sept. 06. Enjoy your cue, can't compare to a production cue right? You might not ever buy another production cue, after shooting with a custom cue. :)
 
I have to agree. I picked up a new 15 point Bender cue this summer. The hit is great, the point work is sharp and even. Love it!
My Schon has been hibernating to the point where it will have to be sold to get another Bender.
Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Hi Guys,
Bender cues are some of the best playing cues, also some of the best craftmanship. Mike is a great guy as well.
I have a monster Bender coming in next week. I'll post some pictures when it arrives..

2 to 3 years if you order straight from Mike, BUT, INDYQ.com Roy has got them in stock check out his web site. Roy is a great guy to work with and prices are good. :cool:

How is roy doin, I heard he had a run in with a big guy?heard he was hospitalized is he doing fine now?

He is coming along ok, 90 day recovery, each day he is getting better. :)

Like it says above he is getting better. He had several hours of plastic surgery to reconstruct his face. He needs time to recover and for someone of his age it is a miracle he did not end up worse.
I speak with him every week to check on him and try to encourage him on. I keep him in my prayers and hope some other AZB'rs will too.

If you work with Roy, you might be able to get a custom made in place of one of his standard orders. That might bring the delivery time in to about 6 months versus the 2-3 years that his normal wait is. Roy has maybe 10-15 each year made while Mike only takes the time to do about 40 a year.
Just a thought!

I heard that Ray was assaulted during a robbery that went wrong. Being that he is a 60 year old man, he could not defend himself well.

That sucks! My husband went to tell someone to slow down on our street, and the kid attacked him with a club..about 2ft long and about 3" thick. Then the kid's dad went at him with a ballpeen hammer. They're in jail and the trial is set for November 14. The kid was doing 60mph in a 25mph deadend road, with kids riding their bikes!
Good thing my husband has an extra thick skull, or else he might be dead now. He may need plastic surgery as well, and has hearing loss in one ear. I just don't understand people these days.

Please extend my get well wishes to Roy, nobody deserves to be bludgeoned damn near to death.

Take a look at INDYQ Bender Page and if you see the first cue that is a 20-point on the forearm. That cue posted a few weeks ago and two special orders were made for the two cues at the bottom of the page that will be delivered in Jan 2006.
Roy may be able to work a deal if you cannot wait. So take a look at some of the examples and go for a Bender any way you can get one. I have a 15-point cue and the details are awesome. The hit is about as good as my '93 Schick but at more than half the cost.

Bender's kick serious ass. I love it.

Played with Predator, Meucci, Falcon, Cuetec production and Capone, Gilbert, Nova, Weston customs and by far the favorite is the bender. Ironically my second fave is my plain 3k1 predator...they have two completely different feels, but i like them both on diff days.

The one on the bottom of the page is the one I ordered. 20+20 re-cut points, 20 in the forearm and 20 in the butt with a real lizard skin wrap. The shafts are not 13mm they are 12.75mm, I'll post photos when I get it in Feb. I also have another being designed by Mike with 12 2mm D-VS1 Russian cut Diamonds and 12 2mm super fine Brazilian Emeralds, that should be ready around Aug. or Sept.06, I'll post pics of that cue when I get it next year. :)

I will be looking forward to seeing both posted when they become available. They should be incredible - afterall it is a Bender Cue!
 
Bender cues look awesome. Just the way I like those cues, lots of different woods in points and not too much of flashy inlays. I bet they hit sweet. If I'm ever to get another custom cue, I'll most likely be a Bender. Heard only positive things of Bender cues.
