BENDER players cue.. NEW.. must see. NEW release

I agree with ridewiththewind on this, particularly the fact that this is a forum for all to use to seek knowledge and sell/trade on occasion. Negative posts do nothing but cause people to go elsewhere for that knowledge, which is a shame. I think that someone with little understanding of the cue market and cues in general can learn alot on this forum, but will quickly get frustrated reading all of the bickering and bantering that goes on in many posts. If you have negative comments regarding someone's cues or prices, PM them and address them in private one on one. If you have information that is useful to others so that they don't get screwed, or that help them end up with a better cue, more knowledge, etc. Keep the comments coming.

This forum has been a huge help to me in the past year or so, and I expect it will remain this way as long as we all keep our perspective.

Negative Comment I think not, I was making a comment based upon the Bender Cue have seen in Person (2), and Photos of many Bender Cues I have seen on the Web. What I said was:

"When I think of a Mike Bender Cue I think of the Ring Work, and Inlay Work that has made Mike a Famous & in Demand Builder. This to me is not typical of what I PERSONALLY expect to see from Mr. Bender..."

I did not attach you are you Cue, so I see ZERO REASON for you to Attack me. Part of living in America is the right to be a free thinker, and have reasonable freedom of speech.

Anyone wishing to discuss this subject further please feel free to PM me as I will be more than happy to reply...

NUFF SAID....

I have had almost 50 Benders and seen many more.. This is a typical Bender without silver ladder rings.. Again your inexperience leads you to say things that are uneeded, unwanted and untrue..

If you don't know what you are talking about or you are negatively affecting the sale of a cue by your lack of knowledge don't comment.

Thats all everyone is saying to you...

Thank you Arron I was not trying to as you say "crap" on his sale, just make a comment based upon my experience.

My buddy has a Bender it is Butt and Forearm are Amboyna Burl to kill for. The Forearm is Plane, the Butt has Gold Colored Metal and Ivory inlays, and The Ringwork is out of this World.

Another Not typical Bender as it is not the 5, 10, 15, 20 Recutt pointer or any Pointer that is like a Bender Trademark...But very Unique...

It's a 5pt Bender.. w/o silver ladderr ings which he doesnt use on all of his cues.. He uses rosary bead. He uses Ivory band.. He uses gold.. He uses bushka rings.. and I am sure some I forgot and havent seen..

I don't know if it's this countrywide heatwave that is making everyone a bit cranky or what?!

Look....the pricing on Benders, as well as a few other cuemakers is on the rise. That is because they have built a solid reputation for being a 'players' cue. As of late, Mike has been doing some AMAZING cues...all fancy and high-end. I feel that this is a great opportunity for those who cannot afford to get into one of Mike's higher end cues to still get that Bender playability in a more affordable package. And, it's not a bad looking cue, either.

Mike (spanky981) is just trying to showcase some of the newest offerings coming out of the Bender shop. I, for one, appreciate seeing some of the offerings that he is able to get, because they are always interesting, and often serious eye candy.:D

Can we please let our fellow AZBer's post their offerings, at whatever pricing they choose, without all the negative commentary? If you don't like what is being offered, or the pricing, then move on. This directed at no one in particular, as I am sure I have been guilty at some point of this myself.....I believe my transgression was when the very first Cochoran cue was posted by JP. I felt bad about it after I did it, and have never done it since.

We here are very, very fortunate to have so many wonderful cues offered in one place....it's the best 'one stop shopping' on the net, IMHO. And often, the pricing of these offerings are very attractive, too. If we continue as the current trend is going....we are not going to get these many different offerings anymore....and that would truly be a shame. Let's just let our fellow AZBer's do their thing, that's what the 'Wanted/For Sale' Forum is all about.

Mike, I'm sorry if I hijacked your thread a bit, but I felt it needed to be said. Now I am stepping back down off my soapbox...Lol.;) :)

Thanks Lisa.. I agree.. Maybe because Poolslueth doesnt buy or sell cues he wouldnt understand this..

That's a steal. If the Pampers bill wasn't so high right now I'd be on that cue like a Britany Spears flavored popsicle.

Players cues

Poolslueth, Mike Bender probably has more 5 pointed players cues out there with ladder ringwork than any other styled cue. This cue is right inline with what he has done a ton of. In my IMO one hell of a price. I did not know Mike would touch the lathe for less than 1,500. My IMO Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101

Not to hijack this thread but I have a Bender that is due this year- ebony on ebony players cues with track rings, 2 shafts with ivory ferrules. Linen wrap. His prices are reasonable and in fact very much affordable. I was surprised to learn that I could own a Bender and that he makes cues for players. I think that Bender is up there in terms of reputation and people do not think they can afford them etc. I saw a similar post in the Richard Black thread- people did not realize that he made players cues as well.

I originally wanted to order a 5 pointer with veneers but changed my mind to leave some dough in the wallet.

If you are really interested in a particular cue or cuemaker- the best advice that I have ever got is to contact them. Puckdaddy says for me to call them- but I usu. don't like to bother people on the phone. Email is convenient and they can answer at their leisure when they have time. Judd, Rick Howard, Bender are all good deals on players cues- fairly priced and you get a lot of bang for your buck.

YOU FIND ME A POPSICLE LIKE THAT, AND I'LL BUY AS MANY AS YOU CAN FIND.

ON ANOTHER NOTE, I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE WHY PEOPLE JUMP ON THREADS SAYING THAT WHAT IS FOR SALE ISN'T PRICED RIGHT, OR THAT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND A PRICE. IT'S UP TO THE SELLER AND BUYER TO COME TO AN AGREEMENT.

True that I do not buy and sell much as far as Cues go, but I do apprieciate Quality. Plus have an understanding of what many cuebuilders do as what we shall say is the trademark of their work...

Fit and finish of the cue looks nice. Inlay work, nice looking shaft wood, ivory ferrule, Moori tip, and obviously a real nice piece of bird's eye for the nose. For the money, IMO this gives the $2000-ish Scruggs 'phantom' the 7.

Sean
Would you know a good looking piece of shaft wood ? Keep your day job at WALMART and maybe you can set your standards a little higher.

Maybe you did not understand my comments JAZZ, I was “CRAPPING anything just making a Comment about the offering not being Typical For Mike Bender.

Bender is know for Five point Cue

Recutt points

Embellishment in his cues

and LAST Stunning Ringwork

What I call typical Mike Bender Cues can be found by Clicking Here----->>>> http://www.indyq.com/custom/bender/index.html

Apparently Mike Bender is also as of late doing some Simple Cue, that are not his Typical work....Hope I cleared up your misinterpretation of my Post....

"Recutt points" and "Embellishment in cues" is a Mike Bender trademark? "Stunning Ringwork" is a Bender trademark?

This is hilarious. Anyone who knows what they're looking at could tell it's a Bender at a glance. Anyone who knows what the hell they're looking for in a Bender would never, ever be surprised Mike's offering is a BENDER.

Do yourself a favor and refrain from any definitive "cue talk" until you learn some basic framework, because you've managed to embarrass yourself and potentially harm Mike's sale as well.

Can I put it on layaway??!!??!! :D :D :D

6 months, same as cash?

Hey....can't blame me for trying!!

Nice cue, sir. I'd have bought it on the first day you listed it, if my circumstances were different.

I never thought it would be possible to get into a Bender for that LITTLE.

Sounds like a great deal on a great cue to me!
