BENELEX for ferrules....Maybe??

OK - One last piece of stuff I've had for over 40+ years - 1/2" x 1 1/2" BENELX....You can Google for info and there is info - If someone wants to try a small piece please PM me I'm just trying to help...HONEST!!

My go-to test for ferrule material is to cut a thin ring of it and then crush it to see how it reacts.

Thanks for the link. Apparently it is another styling of micarta/phenolic
type materials.
