A good friend of mine passed away a few months ago and gave me his cue sticks. One of which he said was a Benson cue that I believe he got about 40 years ago.

It doesn't have any real identifying maker's marks, other than the RAPPID logo on the butt, so I'm not sure if it is a Benson or not.

It has mother of pearl inlays, 4 points which I believe is malachite, tiger maple and birdseye maple in the butt.

Can anyone help identify? I have attached my limit of 5 pics, but have more if needed.

Thanks very much!

Thanks guys. Is there anyone who could give me a ballpark value? My friend said it was worth $4k, but I'm not sure it's worth quite that much.

Thanks a lot!

Not a Benson. Early ones had RB in butt , later say Rich Benson in top of forearm. If it was a Benson it would be no where near 4K, at least not here in his home town.

That is 100% a rich benson cue but is not 40 years old. This is before benson started using the half stainless joint. I would put this cue about 4 to 600 price tag on it.
