I've been playing with a Benson cue made by a cat from central Washington state. Hits like a sledgehammer! Its maybe 25 years old, has the original paper ferrule in perfect condition after thousands of breaks and hard-hit shots. Anyone out there familiar with Bensons or who knows about this ferrule material? Roger Pettis tells me the paper ferrule is EPA-disapproved.

I remember the first time I saw Howard Vickory he was playing with a Benson...short jointed pole and he said it hit real hard too. Wish I knew or could help ya...

Is it yellow now? IF it is, it's yellow micarta.
