On a serious note: I wonder if any of his "best friends" have confronted him about his addiction. I am seriously concerned there is more than alcohol involved now. A play back of his incoherent babbling should be enough proof. Could be he is never sober enough to notice how troubled he is.
I've sadly had enough family members in his shape to know how desperate this guy is in need of help.
One party video of me in the 80's of myself was enough to see where I was heading.
Stopped the drinking and smoking cold turkey. I still have alcohol cravings. It's a true disease.
Hoping for the best for the guy and his loved ones.

The U.S. Open 9-Ball Shell Game!
I enjoyed the Accu-Stats presentation. A couple of hiccups are to be expected. The price was well worth it. Jim Wych, Pat Fleming, Mark Wilson and Geoff Conway provided great commentary. I did, however find that Geoff and the guy, 'Billy' commentating with him did not get along with each other. There were many uncomfortable moments between the two, which almost made it comical to watch.
As far as Barry and 'his' show. If this is the best the U.S. can do for professional pool, please shoot me now. If you were to compare Barry Berhman with Barry Hearn, who would you pick to represent cuesports in the world?
The players were fantastic! God help us all if The U.S. Open continues under the same regime. I think it might be time to pass the baton. If you can't pay players on time for years in a row, then please stop.

Could the money be overseas money? and takes time to transfer? I personally cannot see how he makes money! $70k from players, how could he make another $80k , spectator money goes to expense hotel , table, labor! is there other avenue? TV money?
