What's the best straight pool break? My main problem is that since i have to lean over to hit the break ball, i lose most of my power and it leads to a giant cluster of balls at the center of table. I've tried using both draw and follow and it still leads to the same problem. How can i more effectively transfer the force of the break ball into the rack? Thanks

I am not sure that i follow the question.

be sure when you are looking to setup a breakball, it is within your reach. hense having the ability to stroke the shot properly.

follow or draw should not matter, all depending on what the angle you have it setup will interperit the proper english to use on the shot.

for examples of this Phil Capelle's "play Your Best Straight Pool" and a video by Jim Rempe "how to run a rack, and how to run a hundred" should touch base on this.

there are alot of other books and videos that cover this as well, those are just to of my fav's

Good luck, and i hope this helped !

There are break positions that present no problem as far as stance is concerned. Here is a diagram of a few of those shots for right-handed players. Do you have trouble with these?
