Some of you tush hogs have got to go play and not drag your entire arsenal into some nasty dive bar. Y'all know the deal -- a case to carry a butt, a shaft, and a near worn out cube of chalk. There's no need to going over prepared for the terrain, except if you are thinking like Hu and need the extra long pocket suitable for stashing a crescent wrench or two.
To be honest, I am clueless about the case. If I toted a cue I selected a nice thick towel or I had a case I hand sewed out of an old blanket.
I did have a thought when you are talking extra long, the snooker players often have a cue with a high joint, 3/4 and 1/4 Division. They might have something that would work. Of course you could always go full snake coffin and get a case for one piece cues! While on a roll, I always wanted to repurpose a musical instrument case. Hitting the goodwill or similar places, even pawnshops, might turn up something to repurpose and look pretty cool while not screaming cue case.
When I think I need two crescent wrenches I settle for one and something that can make some noise. A small .40 fits the top of my case nicely.
Edit: I just had a thought: Maybe I could commission a short run of cases with an external twelve inch crescent pocket! Should go over big with bikers.

60", plus too long joint protectors. One count against JPs. ought to just saw them off (lol). I saw the Action AC11 1x1 Pool Cue Case and it is a definite possibility. One big problem, I think, is that no one specifies "extra long" or specifies longer length. I wrote several emails and plan to make some phone calls today.

The modern pool player needs everything that can fit in a bag though. I need the pockets to do my "pocket dump" because I hate to play with stuff in my pant pockets.
Basically my pool case becomes one big man purse.
I agree about the nasty dive bar comment and thankfully I am fortunate enough to play in a pool hall.

According to Seyberts there is no manufactured case that will accommodate 32" components. If anyone knows of one, please let me know.
That is going to be a custom case in a small size if you want for anything longer than a 60 inch cue. The JB case I have looks like a hold a 31-in shaft or butt without joint protectors, but doesn't look like a 32 will fit.

I’d just get a GTF if you could find one. Theres enough space in the lid to fit a taller cue (within reason)

Says it can take a 32" shaft (in the specs / additional info area) but might be pushing it. I like their cases.
If you are going to put in it a cheap cue that you don't care about it too much, then any case will do.
I have a cheap tube case for that purpose and it actually holds a nice cue that I like and it holds it well for about 20 years, but it won't fit 30 inch shaft with JP. So I would say, find any case that will fit the cue and don't worry to much about protection as long as the divider runs all the way down.

You guys need to stop being cheap and get something to really hold some stuff.
What about your wallet, keys and phone and various other things you carry? You can't tell me you guys are shooting pool with these items in your pocket.

You never know until you take a plunge, and this one has bit the shit out of me. From my recent reading, it seemed to me that longer cues were becoming somewhat common and I thought that someone would be making the cases. And maybe they are, but forget joint protectors. I guess I could always cut the JPs down. The whole problem is I am seeking "easy" and I keep getting curves.
What are other folks with long cues doing?
By the way, the GTF does the job. It is tight but it works. So I guess I'll just have to change cases before I go out. But I was wanting simplicity . . .
