Best 7’ table other than Diamond!

I have a 7 foot Valley in my garage with great rails, 4 inch pockets and Champion cloth. It is also completely level. It plays different than a Diamond, but I wouldn't say it is worse. A well constructed and maintained Valley can hang with any bar table in terms of playability. May not look as nice, but it plays great.

they aren't still made are they? thought they quit making tables yrs ago.
good point, I don't know. They look like an old time table and play amazingly well. John Schmidt did his 626 run on a 9ft REBCO in Easy Street Billiards, Monterey, California.

What's the reason for no Diamond? I'm not judging, but if for example you say the cost, then we can't recommend the 7' Predator or 7' Brunswick Gold Crown Coin that is about the same price, etc.
You can find a used valley on Marketplace occasionally for under 500. Then you add ridgebacks and 860 HR and your cooking and still under 1k.

Hard to beat that.

If on a budget hunt, me personally, I'd look for a 7' "name" brand furniture style table. A Brunswick, Connelly, etc. I think they are better than a Valley because the rails bolt through the slate like a commercial 9' table, and they can also be taken fully apart to get into a house. The Valley style bar boxes are big awkward cabinets and the rails don't bolt to the slate. Plus, the furniture style tables look better than a Valley, IMO. 7' in the "name brands" can be found for $500-800 all day long online. They might need new cushions, but that's about it I believe.

Make it 3. Not a fan of Diamond bar tables. They all play way and I mean WAY too fast. And before anyone comes in here saying they fixed that, no they just made it less bad.

Love the 9’ though. Best tables available today.
Make it 4. Never again will I play on it. I did better playing on a snooker table than on those bar tables.
