If you were going to take a road trip around the country gambling what pool rooms would be on your list? Any smaller town rooms that have a good reputation for action?

You can get played in New Orleans, just come to Buffalo Billiards.

"Action rooms" is awful subjective, and for sure YMMV

Some rooms locals play amoungst themselves, others say anyone can get played (with the caveat that you either give up a ton of weight, or "they'll call someone" who will likely be Shane's mirror image)

Your skill level also matters, and what you play. You dont want KY action rooms if you don't bank.

All in all I like Brickyard and red shoes

I can get played anywhere lol. I do want to go to buffalo billiards though

Once I had a list of all the places where the action was, I now know where not to go. With todays cell phones and emailing pictures you would be knocked after you played in the first place.

I would stay on the down low avoiding such places.

I saw one on TV called Steinway. Money was changing hands like monopoly. Never saw pockets so huge. The women were good looking and bet large. I'm packing up and heading to New York.

I'm staying a few miles west of downtown. Do I have to drive north to bogies for 1P

Also I need to get in stroke, any tourney Sat or Sun anywhere

Ah, your Jim from Arizona. Gotcha, now I remember.
I wouldn't advise hanging around Bogies at all. Very filthy clientele, and you never know when the next guy will be robbed in that dangerous area. It's happened many times.

I'd play at Bigtyme, or possibly at Legends out near you(45S). How long are you here for

How about the northwest? Chicago? Upper Midwest? If I was gonna drive north from LA, into Seattle then across to Chicago, where would you stop?

I've never seen such gaffed up Diamonds in my life. A firm hit into the middle of the facing is an automatic rejection. The two GC's play the same way.

I'm at Bogies east right now. Got in stupid 9 ball tournament. I'm playing so bad everyone is beating me in 1P.

Bogies is the worse run room in Houston.
And Bogies West is very dangerous. East is not dangerous.

All below would rank higher for action and management.
Big Tyme
Legends
Clicks
Slick Willies Katy
Caspers

Yeah, I would agree with Red Shoes in the Chicago area. For Columbus, OH it's definitely Players Family Billiards. There is always action at Players.
