Best Break tip?

I am sure this has been done before but lets do an updated version.
Personally I don't care for Phenolic or leather that has been impregnated with something making it hard like phenolic.
I hate the sound of the hit (TINK) you get from those types of tips plus the lack of control.

What's the best leather break tip on the market that is:
1. Super hard making it good for the transfer of power.
2. Great control.
3. Sounds like the Cue Ball was hit with leather not plastic.

Any leather hard tip will suffice. Single layer tips will withstand more miscue abuse than layered tips. Basically a Triangle tip would work. Also a Kamui would work too. There is no magical choice. I bet most of your decicision will be based on the price of a tip. So plan accordingly.

…Samsara

Ben

Must be hard to read before you respond.

I prefer Samsara and White Diamond. From my opinion these two are the best break/jump tips in the market:smile::thumbup::smile::thumbup::smile:

I think the Superpro tips are killer break tips. Cheap and effective.

I came into a few for free and tried one as a break tip for giggles. I was pleasantly surprised nd have stuck with it. So far so good!

Price factors zero in any decisions I make on tips.
I might go oldown school with a Water Buffalo tip.

There's two different types of water buffalo tips out there, black and brown. One is harder than the other, I don't know which because I don't install any.

Try an Ultraskin HH. If you hate it, you are not out a bunch of money. The are pretty good at getting the job done. Samsara is superior to all break tips in my humble opinion.

Odega tips are the best break or jump tips period. Trust me I have tried them all.

Samsara or Mezz, but I'm waiting for my first batch of Taom tips, used by Mika Immonen, Jayson Shaw and others...

Taom tips

Taom tips is a product manufactured with the methods of chemistry and physics, making use of less common techniques in merging organic compounds exhibiting large molecular structures with elastomers, but without diluting them into each other. Our product is a compound of dozens of substances. We pride ourselves on our technique that replicates certain central ingredients. By making use of it we can manufacture tips with revolutionary malleability. Taom Break & Jump tips are tested and used by some of the best players in the world including Mika Immonen, Rodney Morris, Jayson Shaw & Raj Hundal.

So are they non-leather?

The Ki-Tech Hard playing tip has the same energy response as the Samsara Break Tip in testing.. IF you want the leather sound and control that may be the way to go for you to go as it will hold upto abuse withou having to worry about delaminations or compression..

We are developing a break tip but it is impregnated like the Samsara and Odega and as such will have the same tink sound you dislike.....

You talk real bad

Gotta dumb down a response so you can read it. You didn't read the original post to begin with. You showed no respect to the OP for responding as such. Need I continue this tirade of abuse towards you? Or are you willing to go back under that rock to learn to read so you don't needlessly spam the forums?

Appears to be Thermoset plastic.... Local cue repair guy picked some up at the Open... They seem to break good but I would hazard a guess that they have retasked an existing material especially based on the color options.....

Madman ALL Leather! Handmade does not make the tik tik tik sound like phenolic. Best and easy CB Control you can even apply spin if you want or play with it. They are cut and pressed so the tip is low you don't have this thick n high tip on your shaft. the tip has great feel just like a playing tip, great performance on soft and definitely hard breaks.... Control control control with awesome spread!

Im terribly sorry my opinion upset you so much. The samsara tip does make a bit of a ping, but not near as much as phenolic or white diamond. If you feel more abuse is necessary, continue. But I assure you I will be punishing myself for such a blatant act of disrespect.

Humbly
Ben
