Best cue in the 100-150 price range?

Well, just inspected my cue right now (the cue ball has been feeling like a two pound ball bearing--I thought it was simply due to the cold weather), and I've discovered the joint is loose.

Guess I subconciously knew something was wrong, because I've been searching for a great deal for the past two days, but wasn't really committed to buying anything.

Now I have an excuse :)

I would love to dump five or six bills on a Schon or a Pred, but I'm in the process of refurbishing my table, so I'm looking for a well hitting cue on the cheap.

Been looking at Lucasi, Schmelke, Fury, (don't like McD's cues in this range), and the eBay cues I posted about.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Bill Dominiak cues are the nuts in that range, good quality cue and you can customize the way you want it. I play with a 1020 model and really like the hit. www.dominiakcues.com .

Yeah you can get one of those wrapless ones with the radial pin for $100 to $130 new. Best deal for $100 on a new cue. Damn, What are they called???? Someone has to know what I'm talkin about.... Wrapless plain janes.. Saw them on ebay a while back called Jeremy Wenner cues but they are called something else... Lucasi wouldn't be bad if you pay $150 or less.. Anymore than that and your robbing yourself. This may sound funny but a players sneaky for $30 to $40 hits pretty decent. I'm a good player and I would have no problem using one.

Before buying a new cue in that price range I would strongly suggest you check out any pawn shops first.

No they are wrapless plain janes. Best buy for $150 or less brand new guaranteed. Radial pin and a great hit. Wish I could remember what they are called. I REMEMBER NOW..... Elite.. Check them out.. Should be wrapless plain janes with a radial pin.. Google Elite cues..

Elite is the same thing as an Action cue...

Don't bother with a Falcon and the new Joss cues are very cheap. Hit decent but look like a kmart cue in my opinion.

That may be true, I don't know.. But I don't recall Action using radial pins.. So if it's an action under elite the radial pin hits fantastic..

That's all I have to offer in your range of $150... Lucasi for $150 or less... Anymore your robbing yourself.. A players sneaky for $30 to $40.. Hit is not bad and very affordable... Or the Elite radial pin wrapless for $100 to $130... Go with anything other than these brand new in your price range and I think you'll regret it.. Or maybe not.. But these are the best options NEW for your price range..

I got to agree with the Falcon cues. I bought one every time I needed a cheap cue that hit nice. I would buy another one in a heart beat if necessary. They aren't the nicest cues to look at, but who cares?

Good looking cue.

BTW, does anyone know of an online retalier who offers the option to change tips other than Ozone? Platinum and Dawg have a wider selection of discount cues, but don't offer that option. Mechanics who have high-end tips are non-existent in my area.

By the way I'm also a personal cue shopper. :) For a small fee I'll find you what you want in your price range if it's out there. :D
