Best/favorite ferrule material

This is paper micarta too.
I'm making a few of them for my shafts .
They'll have 3/8 24 thread. I'm making them one by one.
Very durable and lightweight material.
Does not absorb chalk at all.
That looks like the stuff, absolutely fantastic playability. I find a medium hard to a hard tip compliments that material well, being it's a softer than other types of phenolic. You'll love it.
 
What about no-ferrule like the Black Boars, how does it compare to your 4 types of ferrule?
 
Sad news for many, this arrangement has failed, having a hard accidental fall on concrete - handed to me in pieces
after shooting one of the worst horrors in the billiard world.
