Best game to watch

One pocket has it all strategy defense banks ball pocketing clusters and the players have to be creative and take care of whitey in the process. It interesting to see what shot they will shoot out of all the possible shots on the table.

What is a ring game? What does no safes mean, how can you 'disallow' a safe? Curious about this game.
It's a gambling game with 3 or more players playing either 9-ball or 10-ball, all balls wild. Sometimes money is placed on both the 5 and on the 9. Everybody pays off on the money balls. The game is best in my opinion with 4-6 players. 7 or more players you just don't get to shoot much and it's hard to get in stroke. No safeties allowed - just take your best shot at getting the balls rolling when you don't have a good shot. On a bad hit or any foul, the next shooter in line has the option to pass the shot back to you. Ball-in-hand behind the line on all fouls and if the next ball in line to shoot is behind the line it gets raked off the table, unless it's the money ball or the ball before the money ball, then it is spotted and you shoot a spot shot. It's a lot of fun when you're winning, sucks when you're losing and never seem to get a good shot. It's best to change up the order of players shooting every 5 games or so, so you don't have the same player shooting before and after you for more than a certain number of games. In a ring game, it is considered extremely uncool to play anything resembling a safety or a 2-way shot. Also, 3 player ring games are extremely dangerous and to be avoided at all costs, as two players can potentially team up on the other player, disguising safeties, generally with an understanding they'll split their winnings.
