Basically want some suggestions for what to use on the wood surface when glueing pads or tips to it. My tip guy has used red loctite glue in the past but the tip feels and sounds loose-ish, like it's not on there solid. We have never had problems in the past but that's always because we were glueing to the pad that the cue maker but on. On a recent tip change that pad came off.

Thanks!

I would treat the end of the shaft and the tip with thin CA... dab off the excess and hit them with kicker........ lightly scuff sand and then install the tip with CA gel

this will seal them to prevent a dry joint
