Best hitting cue for around 1000.00?

Looking to pickup a cue in this range. Would prefer something that matches my z2 shafts - 14 thread.

For that kind of money I would consider S&S Custom Cues. Paul Sumrall will build you a dynamite cue for $1,000.00 or less, depending on the inlays & extras.

Leon Sly, Steve Lomax, Jensen Cues, Carolina Cues, Dominiak Cues are all good choices.

I have a few posted that are very good choices too.
None of my cues over $500 have 5/16x14.

cue for 1000

if you don't care about looks i don't think you have to spend 1k. the schon+predator combo is very popular and makes for a great playing cue. i don't think you can go wrong with that. of course i have pm'd you about a bob runde i have that i'll let go for that kind of cake.:thumbup:

Whatever you do, be sure to hit with the proposed cue BEFORE you buy.. Many of the cues mentioned above would be far from my choice, but hit is subjective.. A ton of the hit comes from the shaft, as everyone knows..

Don't pull the plug based on name or looks, go by feel.. TRUST me on this one! I've made some purchased solely on beauty or cuemaker name without hitting a ball and have been sorely disappoint more than a time or two.. YMMV
 
Check out the Leon Sly ivory jointed cue at the top of this page on my website. The cue is brand new, direct from Leon....solid ivory joint with radial pin, super long points and sweet veneers.

I am having hand surgery on Thursday and will be down for a bit, so I will make the cue available to you for (SOLD!! Thanks!) delivered in the US if purchased NLT Wednesday.

i have a Schon NEW, 5/16x14 steel joint, 4 point birdseye maple w/ thick coco bolo veneer into light stained birdseye, fancy ringwork above & below wrap & butt plate, linen wrap. will sell w/ or w/o shaft [new also] butt only $425, w/ new shaft $500, or w/ 2nd [ older Schon shaft, doesn't have Schon on collar w/ ivory ferrule 12.9mm, light bluing ] Schon w/ 3 shafts $575, you will have plenty of money to buy a case if you wish & still have some bucks left. easiest to contact me by email. don.... email sureman183@yahoo.com
