Best j/b tip?

I recently bought a new j/b cue, and it has a phenolic one piece ferrule/tip on it. I am wanting to change this to a different tip. I was looking at white diamond tips, samsara, and extra hard talisman. I was wondering which would be the best tip for a j/b cue? I like the look of the white diamond, but I don't know much about them. Thanks for any feedback! :)

I have a Gulyassy J/B cue that was standard with a 1 piece phenolic tip/ferrule, but I wasn't that pleased with the hit initially. The tip/ferrule combo was about 1 1/8" long, so I faced it down flat to 3/4"long for a stiffer hit, and installed a Samsara j/b tip on it and boy does it hit now, as well as much more bite/spin on the cueball. I like this setup.

For jumping the synthetic White Diamond will jump the best. But if you want more control on the cue ball when breaking and still jump good, then I suggest the Mad Man leather Jump Break tip. I have sold a couple of hundred of them and have not had any complaints.

jump break tips

A guy in Fargo is making jump break tips. I believe the name is an Odega. It is pigskin tip that is hard as hell and since it is leather it is BCA legal. I put one on for a player and he was jumping balls with his Predator BK!

I use a white diamond on my j/b. Jumps great but i have less control on my break. I have installed a few of Mad Mans leather Jump Break tip with no complains .........Frank

Odega. They break and jump just as well and G10 or phenolic, but are BCA legal, as mentioned. If it's control you want, then you gotta go softer. You can't have both power and control.
