Which one to buy? Or can I make one from scrap leather? What kind of leather?

Thanks,

I cut up my custom alligator Paul Bond cowboy boots because alligator skin makes for great tip burnisher.

Actually when shaft are new, a treatment of Cue Wax is what I do, and repete PRN (as nessessary) when the smoother feeling dissipates.

Did it this am, with a soft old t-shirt to apply, let dry 20 minutes, polished off with another piece of t-shirt. it is great stuff, cheap, (CUE WAX), and works better then Joey Alligator idea.

You're not a cue maker and you did not understand the question.
And apparently, don't have much sense of humor.

He's asking about tip burnisher.
You don't burnish the WHOLE SHAFT.
Burnishing is using leather to polish something.
In this case a leather tip.

Old cowhide belts would do. Just cut them up.
