Mike, is there a place that we can see all the current ratings? On your homepage, it seems REALLY limited in scope.

Wow. This seem really accurate because I know really well 90%+ of those players.
I'd probably be 600+
Btw. That Casper Matikainen is gonna be future name.. 17 years old and we gambled small couple of months ago. I played quite strong and he did beat me(5 hour session 10-ball always race to six). We had couple sets ending like 6-4, 2-6 or 6-3 and whole game had only 3 or 2 innings.
Normally when I get gear noone beat me(besides Heiskanen)

Will you rate everyone that played in the BCA tournaments last week? I played in Scotch Doubles (which I imagine would not count), Open singles and team events.

Based on the info on the website, I'm guessing I come in at exactly 600... the description describes my game perfectly.

I would love to know what my rating is.
 
I think this would be a fantastic thing in pool if all leagues used a universal rating system like this to rate players. They could use it as their baseline and handicap the players how they choose.

Great Idea!

I think the one drawback would be the gamblers who try to stay off the radar. I don't think some would ever be onboard. They already hate cell phones and internet jumping their hustle.

Alex you are at 574 with 151 games; Sandy is at 460 with 78 games.

Your rating is based on 2012,2013,2014, and 2015 BCAPL Open Singles as well as a few matches at Felt in 2011.

To get started you could play in the China Open for example. :D

Seriously, there are many events, all over the world that you can play in where your scores will be recorded but I believe until you have at least 200 games under your belt (under Fargo Rate), your rating might not be as accurate as it should be.

Derby City Classic, BCA National Championships are two big events that will be recorded for Fargo Rate, at least to the best of my knowledge.

Hi JoeyA... 200 games for a rating.... that much input should depict someone's capabilities for sure, unless they have real stamina for doggin' it.

Has there ever been a handicap system that someone had to confirm your true playing abilities?
 
Is the system currently only for BCA? Any chance of ACS or APA getting involved with the system?

APA is the best 10 out of your last 20 matches. so best 50-70 games out of 100-140 range, Race to 5 for the top ratings. Still sandbaggers in that system. But a lot easier to drink beer and not care during league.
 
Aw man, I thought for sure I'd be a 600! Ok, so where can I play that uses the rating system? I'm going to crack 600 this year.
 
That I couldn't tell you. I am going to assume all BCA leagues will be included. Remember when others you have played play it affects you also
