Voodoo Daddy said:I watched the news at my breakfast spot and saw that 185,000 people were without power in my area. NOW...I wonder if this storm was closer...how much more damage I would have seen if the power worked at all?. By 6:30PM the power at the cave was back on and life resumed. I pray for those who live in Dennis's path...and mark my words, this IS my LAST Hurricane Season in Florida!!

Had been thinking about all of you I had met who live in Florida - glad you are ok. Talked to Dayton, he seemed to think he and Fred M would be ok - how is Searing? - haven't heard back from him. And come visit me for a vacation and relocation possibility. I have visited Pensacola and Panama City Beach area, so I can tell you scenery here is better (just my opinion!!!). Mountains- no ocean (if you want water there is a lake 25 minutes away that is 30 miles long and 15 miles wide). NO HURRICANES - worse storm is a little snow (the most in the last 15 years has been a foot and half at a time). Longest power has been out in anyone's memory was for a day. Just got to visit all my neighbors for dinner at the local cafe. And went home to the lights on. I am serious if you want to check it out.
