So I'm thinking the 3rd edition is close to being reality :rolleyes: and wanted fellow board members' input on where I should place my order?

I say play it safe and order it through Amazon. You may save $10.00 here and there through other sites but then you run the risk of backorders or other problems.

I ordered two directly from the Blue Book web site.

Then I went to church, put my hands together, and prayed like crazy they would come in some day.

If I get the first issue and you see me selling a bunch of cues, just take a hint and just dump them.

$25 at Overstock.com

Overstock.com has them for about $25 and shipping is less than $2 that's the best deal I've found, and they are a well known seller too.
 
I joined you on overstock .. hopefully they will ship it and not wait until they get overstock of the book :D

Yeah, I'm not too worried about a $1.55 shipping. Perhaps you're pretty close to them or they had cheaper shipping when you ordered. I just hope I get the book before long and still feel like I got a pretty good deal.

I agree, and even if it takes a couple weeks longer than everyone else, it's still worth the $10+ savings. I had never even heard of the blue book of cues until I started reading on here.

Look at the positive side: they'll save $10, have a 7 page thread, and have something to gripe about for a year. That's a real bargain!

Ps. I'll be really upset if they get theirs before I get mine. I think mine were $85 for 2 including shipping.

If it looks to take a year I'll buy another copy and sell the extra one when it comes in...lol.

I don't think we'll be waiting a year from Overstock

The website for overstock.com says the book will be available for shipment in 11/05 so I think we'll be getting ours about the same time as everyone else that has preordered.
