Samiel does this Clicks have a service counter slightly straight ahead and slightly to the right as soon as you come in the front door with most of the pool tables to the left as you walk in the door. If that is the one, I've been there when I was getting some State Farm Insurance flood adjusting training just after the storm. One fellow I forget his name must have been about 28 or so played me a little one pocket for $20 a game I think. Not a whole lot of players when I was there. They tell me that Joey Barnes hangs out there quite a bit....

Did you say OLD DAYS? That made me smile. How long have you been around? ;-)
JoeyA

Yes! You were at my hangout and I missed you!!!

Joey Barnes has been known to play there... but not as much lately... he was also at the DCC and I saw him briefly... I believe Timberly knows him as well...

The OLD DAYS was before the new management and new owner kicked in... it's been VERY dead as of late... unfortunately.

Do you perhaps remember who you played with (what they looked like)? How did that match come out? :p ...and when are you coming back? :p

I am the best action in the DC metro area. I bet high and play bad. What more could you really ask for?

I thought you said we could bring 10 players...

j kronz,

I was about to say something until I read your second post adding Johnny K. to the list...you stated in an earlier post that someone could bring 10 guys to QC and get played...

If I stop in at your pool hall, can you insure me that the young lady pictured in your Avatar will have a late evening dinner with me? ;-)

We have several that gamble, they just don't do it much anymore with
each other ... lol small sets, or challenge table.

All you have to do is stop in Shooters in Wichita, and ask for
Jr., Mark, Jeremy, Gumby, Scott (me), Jamie, Scott, Marshall, George, Terry, Paul, Lil Steve, or half dozen more players that gamble about anytime they pick up a cue. We all are not Walden's speed, but we can play a little.

Wichita has always been like a 'AAA' city for Pool, and last half of the 70's and 80's, there was action every night, good action, with lots of road players coming through, but like all cities, the national economy has taken
a toll on the Pool world some, but you can still find a game here. Or up
in Topeka or Olathe.

Bob (Cane) ... Last I knew, Shane McMinn was working at the Palace?
(That's what Brenda, his mom, said) What has happened to action at Magoos? And last I knew, Dave Hendricks and Walter Glass were still
in OKC, they gamble, or just go to Mikies, 24/7 place, there's action
there.

Great name and Avatar. :-)

Samiel, I am sorry I missed you. He was about 30 years old I would guess. Kind of laid back, tall kid kind of thin, maybe light brown hair and it could have been a little long but I'm not sure. We played one pocket for 20 a game and I win maybe 3 games.
He kept wanting to play nine ball and we finally did. We see-sawed back and forth at nine ball and he finally quit.

Hmm... could be a few different people I know... ah well... :p

The next time I'm in NOLA I'll stop by your hangout. :p

That could've been Rusty's Billiards in Arlington.... same set up. Joey was it a stand alone bldg or in a shopping center? Joey Barnes used to play at Rusty's and that's where I got to know him at. I used to run a Midnight madness tourney there every Sat night and eventually ended up bartending there for awhile before I moved to PA.

Samiel, which Clicks? When I first moved there I waited tables at a Clicks...it was the one right next to Lace & Fantasy Ranch. No gambling went on there back then. It was all at Rusty's... man, that was a long time ago.....

Really too many to count in the Carolinas.
I agree.

I might agree to the one pocket lessons when if I find myself there, if you can get JimboCt to agree to pay half. :-)

JoeyA if your ever in CT let me know I would love some 1 pocket lessons. The few I got from you at DCC really sparked my interest. I also can help you find other action for higher stakes if you want.

As I recall, it was a stand alone building and it was kind of difficult to get to it off of the Interstate having to shake around the block. It could have been because I wasn't familiar with the roads...

LOL, it wasn't because you weren't familiar with the roads. That whole area around hwys 360, 30, & six Flags can get a little whacky. You were definitely at Clicks... Should've gone to Rusty's... much easier in & out. :p
