Best place to sell your cue

I have a cue that I purchases a few months back. The cue is a Schon that was built back I'm the day, however i was the first person to play with the cue. I found it at a place that sold pool tables 3 hours away.

I am currently getting a custom cue built and it's getting close for me to go and get it, so I wanted to sell my schon. Any ideas on where I can sell my schon cue?

Thanks Guys.

There is a For Sale section here, although with few posts you may have issues getting it sold without going through a third party, there is also ebay and craigslist and of course your local poolhall people.
I think there is a Facebook group for cue selling also but I have never looked it up.

I would determine a realistic market value and advertize it here, eBay, and one or more of the Facebook billiard-related pages. Post as many clear pictures as possible including in focus close-ups so interested buyers can see exactly what you are offering. Also include complete specifications.

The market is slow, so your sale might not happen immediately but with patience everything priced-right will sell.

Good luck with sale.

I agree with Type 79 - ebay. The selling fees are high, but you will probably get it sold if you price it right. You can search for comparable sales on ebay to determine the value. The search feature allows you to view completed sales. Typical Schons with points and some inlays tend to go for the $400 - $600 range unless they're the older collectible cues or very fancy.

Just a warning - don't be shocked if it's worth significantly less than retail. Buying retail new from brick and mortar stores and selling within a few months almost always results in a significant loss.

If you post a pic we can help find comparables.
