ok, read all your answers on the best male player today. let me say, i feel ralf souquet is the best player today. however the greatest pool players of all time judging by their records of achievment are three------------ willie mosconi, efren reyes and allison fisher, no one has better records.

glad to hear kelly fisher is crossing the water!!!!! as far as balucas is concerned an amazing talent, but her record is not as acclaimed as mz. allison fishers. correct me if i'm wrong. p.s. jean told me recetnly "allison fisher plays on a different level than i ever played on."

Yes, a different level. Far below Jean. Ask Keith McCready or any big time male player that had to play her. Ask Buddy Hall. Ask Steve Mizerak. She beat ALL of them.
 
I know its just an opinion and i have mine also, But if you know anything about pool you have to say that efren is the best player in the world today.

I dont believe even for a second that Jean Balukas ever played on the same level that Allison Fisher plays on today. Show me some PROOF of this, not just someones opinion. Actually put up something besides gossip and hype. Give credit where its DUE! Allison Fisher came over to this country and RAN OVER the BEST WOMEN PLAYERS WE HAVE! She didnt just BEAT them, she ran them over like a mack truck!! Is that not a fact?? And is it not a fact that the caliber of women players today FAR exceeds that of Balukas' time? Oh, so we will have to say that Jean played and BEAT all the men of her time? COME ON!!

This gets old. Whats funny is that this type of attitude exists in EVERY sport. Some people ALWAYS have to have a one-up over someone else. What is that all about? Im not going to say that Allison is the BEST, because there is always someone out there waiting to step up. What I am going to say is that people should give her the SAME RESPECT they give EFREN REYES. She has sure as hell DOMINATED the FEMALE side of pool MUCH MORE than Efren EVER did the MALE side.

Jean Balukas might have been the queen bee of her time, but to say she is or was better than Allison is just a joke. That really isnt an opinion, until someone proves otherwise, in my mind its a FACT!

The difference between Allison and Jean is simple. Every post regarding a challenge match between Allison and a top male player is rebuffed. Allison can not play even with the top men. If you believe she can, there are lots of guys on this forum that would bet it up!!!!! Jean was kept from playing with the top guys by the top guys. No one wanted to play and lose to her. She had none of the liabilities "weak break", "no power stroke" etc. that keep most current women from a level playing field. Lets see Allison show up at any of the top tournaments and play, let alone gamble. Note Jeanette Lee's finishes at the Derby City! There is an all around player! She will get better. Watch out!

Jean Balukas, the first woman inducted into the Hall Of Fame, has beaten, HALL OF FAME MEN, playing EVEN. Efren gave her the 6 ball for the cash and thumped her butt. She wont play any men because she can't win. Only for Indianaguy, I propose this. I will stake a former men's touring pro, Reed Pierce to play your Idol a 15 AHEAD set of 9 ball, EVEN, don't come begging for weight, for a minimum of $10,000.

NOW, how much heart you got? My e-mail address is listed everywhere. Show some gamble and $$$$$.

Hall Of Famer, Buddy Hall was the greatest 9 ball player of the time and Jean Balukas beat him.

You wanted proof. I offer you proof. Get some heart.

You watch out. I dont need to hope and pray that someon will "get better"!! Im talkin about the "here and now", not hoping someone "gets better". Allison is already there, where is Jeanette? I watched Ms Lee very closely during DCC and she shoots well. The only problem is that most of her audience isnt watching her shoot, they are watching her bend over the table. Lets talk about SKILL!!!

Allison doesnt have to play against the men to prove JACK S*%^ to me. I dont care if she is the best unisex player in the world. I said she is at the top as far as women players go at this time. Stop pushing folklore.

Not trying to be an antagonist but I would think, when it comes to the game of 9-Ball, Buddy Halls opinion would be highly regarded. Especially considering that Jean was playing while Buddy was in his prime.

For one thing hemi, REREAD my posts above and see if I called ANYONE a name. I said Allison doesnt have to play ANY MALE player to prove to ANYONE she is the BEST FEMALE player. Having problems reading? Then you come up with a 10,000 dollar wager for Allison to play a MAN? Here is my question to you. WHEN DID REED PIERCE PLAY ON THE WPBA TOUR? Answer that. Then tell me what Allison playing Mr Pierce has to do with her being the top woman pro player right now? YOU sir, are pathetic!

Yes you're right about watching Jeanette play. I spent most of our match looking at other tables.

I don't understand your lack of appreciation for her game. None of the audience was appreciative of my victory. Jeanette was. She made mistakes. She paid. If Women's pool was played on more difficult equipment, perhaps you would have more respect for her talent. I would love to see Allison play and gamble on Diamond Pro or Gabriels Vector tables. How about somewhat slower cloth? I think hemicudas would love to bet it up with you!

Reread your first post Indianakid. You stated Allison was the greatest woman player of all time. She can't beat the best, or even any of the top 100 men players of her time, and Jean beat the best men players of her time.

Again, you stand corrected and still broke.

Let me ask you a question in another way. Do you know of a FEMALE player that you would put that 10,000 on against Allison? Keep your mind off the men players for just a second and give me this answer.
