Best Pool Book you have read lately?

I am finishing this one for about the 3rd., or 4th. time. Next one is the Hustler by Trevis. This will be a first time real of the Hustler.

I read a copy autographed by Cornbread Red. My departed friend
Bill Berger loaned it to me about 3 months before Bill passed.

A great read.

Running the Table has been my favorite so far. I've been looking fo Rags to Rifleman forever but I can't seem to find one at a reasonable price.

It's about snooker, not pool, but I recently read "As Sometimes Seen on TV" by Stuart Pettman. It tells his story of struggling to make it on the English pro snooker tour and also a bit about his foray into pool. I found it to be well-written, informative and funny as well. I'm not much of a snooker fan myself, but it was a good read.

Running The Table by Kid D but i think it cost more than a dollar.

Mid way thru it and it is a great read. Mine cost $2.75 on Amazon with $3.99 for postage. Lol ... postage cost more than the book. New and hardcover, so no complaints.

The Other Side of the Road is on its way from Freddy. It cost a lot more than Running the Table but I'm sure it will be worth it.

To add to Victorl's snooker reference, bios for Ronnie O'Sullivan and Alex Higgins are interesting reads. I enjoy all of the cuesports, although I have never played snooker, just pool and 3C. Looking foward to The Beard's new one as someone here has mentioned (pre-order if you haven't), and very interested in J.D. Dolan's upcoming Greenleaf novel.

I really enjoyed The Other Side of the Road, Pool Wars, and Road Player: The Danny Diliberto Story by Jerry Forsyth. All three are way too short.

I've read running of the table and Pool Wars a couple times. Love em

Jay signed my copy last year at the DCC. He brought two. I bought one as did my buddy Rick G.

My favorite book of all is McGoorty. The most recent one i have read is Pool Wars and it was a terrific read.
