I am in Dallas and looking for a good action pool room to go hang out in.

What is a good room for action and food, both daytime and night time

Thanks

I just came back from Dallas yesterday! Timing sucks some times. I went to two pool rooms while I was there (day before yesterday). One called "Pockets" and Click's on Majesty Drive.

Pockets looks as if it used to be a nice room, but the tables are not very well maintained and it was empty. One guy drinking at the bar, one guy smoking in the corner and 3 "kids" playining on one table. They were loud and noisy. Other than that, no one was in the building. The tables are pretty poor condition. On the one I was using everytime I shot a ball in the side pocket it would fall on the floor. I stayed for about two hours and when no one else came in, I left.

I ended up at Clicks on Majesty Drive. It was much nicer. There were people actually playing. I got a set of balls and played on a table in the back. I saw a guy come in with a Hager Case and an older gentleman with a Swift 3x5 case. The older guy immediatley starting playing one pocket with someone else and the younger guy started practicing on two tables away from me. There were plenty of people, but I was waiting on someone to introduce themselves and be friendly, but they never did, so I left after around two hours.

Just my experience there.

If you're looking for action, you're best bet would be to go to the Billiard Den on a Wednesday night. How long are you in town??

Rack'em Zach'em is running a tournament tonight in Lewisville and is also running a tournament on Saturday that should be pretty good with lots of talented players playing in it. There's also a pool room in Euless called Pockets, that has a pretty good 9ball tournament on Thursday nights.

Sounds like your timing was off by a few days. Pockets has a pretty good 9ball tournament on Thursdays. And the Clicks you're talking about usually has some pretty good games on Friday nights. Another room that gets pretty good is Rusty's in Arlington. I heard that Joey Barnes has been matching up lately.

Crazy 8's, Lewisville....last I heard from Zach, action can be had there...also, as said already, good tournament Saturday, should be plenty of action...

Click's at Marsh and Rosemead....9 footers usually have some cheap sets going....one pocket, 9, or 8...

Billiard Den....no personal experience, but I hear it's a good spot, sure it's already been mentioned as well....

Dallas doesn't not have Pool Halls. They have Bars with pool tables. The closest thing we have to real is the Billiard Den and it's nice....SPF=randyg

Clicks in Arlington on Majesty Dr is prob ur best bet 4 weeknight action 9ball or One Pocket, except for the Billiard Den on Wed nights.

Rustys in Arlington is mainly a college crowd but actionhounds roll in late beings its a 24/7 place.

I'd basically call the Billiard Den a Decent Bar with 5 Diamond Pro's.

take it from me, there is no such thing as a "good" pool hall in Dallas, TX. The closest you will find is Rusty's in Arlington.

For Dallas, the top spots are any of the Click's or Billiard Den if you want to play on Diamond Pro Am.
