tiger is the best. your initial order has to be 300 then any order is 100 there after. just buy a few shaft blanks. trust me its worth it. bth u must sign a contract stating you cant use the everests for repairs. new cuews only.

???? Why would one wish to sign a contract restricting use of the tip to only new cues ????

a its the tip i used anyway.
b IMO its the best tip made.
C the price is unbeatible

so the question is ???? why WOULDNT one wish to sign a contract to get a great price on tips they already use.

now if the thread said moori i would have never posted. i think they stopped the cuemaker deal on everests. still theyre is no way your getting a better deal from a ''MIDDLE MAN"

ntw the contrat wasnt to use the tips exclusively. corey even said push the everests but if they want moori no problem. which i do anyway. ther contract was mainly to stop repairmen from getting the deal then charging 40$ per tip on every repair

When a customer orders a shaft from Seybert's with a factory installed Everest tip (314-2 for example), and wants another tip installed prior to shipment (Kamui etc.). KJ cuts off the Everest and replaces it with the tip of choice. Those are the Everest "take-offs" that he was mentioning.

Hope you don't mind me butting in KJ :o

Everest had a special price on "production tips" for cuemakers that agreed to use them on ALL new cues, and ONLY on new cues. And advertise the fact on their websites.
They never implied that the Everest tips shouldn't be used on repairs, only that the special-priced "production" tips are not for repairs. They ended this practice this year, I imagine some people were abusing it.

Thanx JC,
I certainly don't mind your input, it's basically correct.
I don't do the tips for Sey, they have a guy that does 1,000s of them and he's pretty good at it.
It doesn't matter who removes and who installs them. These tips are removed before they are ever chalked. As JC stated, some people have a preference for a specific tip, other than the Everest, that they'd like installed on their new shaft before it's shipped.
So what happens with all those brand-new Everest take-offs?
They go to KJ. Why discard a perfectly good tip that has never hit a ball?
The tip, new out of the box, retails for $14.95. I think Sey sells them for $8.95. I'm offering the take-offs for about 1/2 of that.

There are no conditions/provisions as to what you can or can not do with these tips. Install them on whatever you like. I'll tell you this; there are some bar cues in this area that play pretty sporty.

I have been using them on my cues since a little after the offer started. I, myself, have always liked harder tips for myself but many customers have commented on how much they like them. One of whom is a very good player and has used Morri med. since the mid nineties thanked me for turning him on to them on a cue he recently received.

Same here, I use them on all my cues, even my personal one. It's still my default tip, but I'll put whatever people want on now... Had a few people grumble when I told them they didn't have a choice when buying a cue, but not many. I don't do a whole lot of tip repairs, but when people ask for layered tips, Everest and Sniper are what I usually sell. Made in the USA is a bonus for me as well.

because they will give you tips for $1.00 if you do,and then if you decide you don't want to use them specifically then you can change your mind and cancel the contract and stop getting them for $1.00.
