Best quote ever...

I found this quote in an eBay auction, "Your game is only as good as your equipment." I thought that was hilarious...lol. I'm a self-admitted equipment whore, but I know that the best equipment in the world isn't going to make you play better, especially a case. :D :D

This case can also double as your gun case you can carry 4 cues and 2 shotguns just in case you run into trouble!! :p

That is funny. But I mentioned in another thread that I was going to try to be more serious so I'll try to clarify the importance of this statement. "Your game is only as good as your equipment." In that particular sentence they were probably trying to tell you why they were selling the case rather than telling you why you should buy it. This doesn't look like a case that you could complain about. I learnt a long time ago when I was playing golf that you don't want to go overboard on equipment. I bought this $350.00 driver. Went to play the next day and sliced one out of bounds on hole number two. I shouted "SOB! This GD" Then stopped shouting because I couldn't say what I would have normally said. I would have normally blamed it on my driver, but had just spent 20 minutes telling all my buddies what a great investment that $350.00 was.

So you see this person probably had a bad day and started running out of excuses. You have a bad enough day and the excuses can run low pretty quickly. So he started cussing out his case....'ever since I bought this case.....' So he's going to sell this one, buy one that looks like shit, then the next time he can throw it across the room. I think the longest I've seen a golf club thrown is about 45 yards. I wonder what the record is for the pool stick javelin throw is?

long throw

I can throw golf clubs and pool cues farther than 45 yards.

So I guess if I buy a GZ, I'll shoot better than anyone in the world, right?

If you do buy one you should send it to me to run an experiment to see if my game improves. I'll have it back to you in twenty or thirty years tops!

P.S. I assume your refering to G. Szamboti?!

I can miss the same balls with a Schon as I can a Wal-Mart cue. (That's talent)

Hell, give me a $100,000.00 cue and I can still miss with the best of them! Seriously, I'll prove this if someone wants to give me a rare Szamboti or Balabushka! I'm not joking here either, I'll get a camcorder to record it. If your interested let me know and I'll give you my shipping address to send the cue(s) to!

That's pretty funny, I remember last year on the Asian tour Alok Kumar was seen practicing table length banks with a house cue and was making bank after bank repeatedly like it was nothing. Just goes to show that talent is alot more important than a expensive cue.

Ok........I'm waiting for someone to post the tired old story about someone running a ridiculous amount of racks with a broom stick or mop handle.

C'mon...........I know one of y'all out there is dying to do just that

some truth ...

Then how come a decent player, when he forgets his own cue, and grabs a house cue can not shoot near as well as with his own cue ... because the equipment is of lessor quality, for example, the balance of the cue or the tips they put on those things ... as least, that is always what they say ..... lol

I 5 racks without even using a cue once.

To learn my teachings, I must first teach you how to learn.

He who questions training only trains himself at asking questions.

When you care what is outside, what is inside cares for you.

Until you learn to master your rage, your rage will become your master.

Well, I never did that, but I can say that back in '82, I used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile.

I don't know, most decent players I know play just fine with a house cue. Granted, if the house cue has a shitty tip and a lot of warp it can present a challenge and you can't do everything with it that you can do with your personal cue, but for the most part, as long as it has a decent tip that's what matters most.

Well Willie, as you know, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer so it's very possible that I misconstrued the auction...lol. Who is it that makes those pumps? Members Only?

I have saw some really nice attempts at a record cut short due to the size of the pool playing establishment. Around these parts one must step outside for a record breaker.
