Any idea on the cost for rooms out there???

Perhaps $180 a night at Turning Stone but may be more in peak periods, but if cost is an issue, you can stay across the street at the LaQuinta and save some money.

The venue has been changed this year to Q Master Billiards in Virginia Beach. I’m not sure how the seating will be set up there. The dates are October 22-26.

I agree that DCC is the best bang for the buck as a spectator.
...and some US Open 9-balls have been exciting.
But SJM has an excellent point...lotta factors make it extreme pool entertainment....
...I was glued to the stream for the last one...and that’s as a Canuck....
...Americans or Euros had to be freaking.

Not a tournament, but the best money match I saw was TRex and Dennis the first time...
....when Tony won 40-38....there has to be dull moments in a one-hole match race to 40...
....but I can’t remember one.

Yea I was also thinking a tournament as an overall trip, a lot of great tournaments but in most you sit in a room and watch players. DCC and SBE have a lot of side stuff happening, which is why I would go to one of those over say the US Open as a one time trip, or Mosconi cup for the team and spectator atmosphere.

Or get room-mates. When l do pool trips I find another person or 2/3 to go with and we split a suite hotel with a couple of bedrooms or a nice living room with a pull-out. My go-to place has been Sonesta ES, stayed in 4 of those, two for SBE and a few for Jr Nationals, and all were great.

I’ve been to a few BCA trade shows...bought a lot of cues...for resale.
...but the best place for buying a personal playing cue has gotta be the SBE...
....I can’t afford to go there much...I’m like a kid in a candy store around all those gems.
