Best tip---Hard, Medium, Soft?

Improvise, adapt, and overcome comes to mind. I will take the skill level of Willie Mosconi over some hyped super duper Cue Tip to play Pool.

How many Pool Hustlers made a very respectable living, playing with nothing but a house cue, who tip they reshaped with sandpaper, or some tip shaping tool?
 
soft tips become hard

medium tips become hard

hard tips stay hard

I want consistency so I use hard, pressed triangle to be exact
 
not really. use a medium pressed milkdud, it does stay medium.

use a kamui brown suoer soft, the ones that I know did stay soft.

also the Tom haye Ultraskin keeo their hardness well.

You musn't think in general how you do.
 
Pressed 15mm triangle for me. Very consistent. No miscues like the Onyx I had put on. I got tired of searching for something better. I would probably try a Ki Tech when I find someone who has one on their cue.
