I have a '88 Schick I may play a game with one or twice every couple of months. It has two original shafts and is perfectly strait. I keep it in its 1x2 it's George case flat. Is this bad for it? Is there a better way to store a cue long term safely?

Thanks

This comes up every few months or so...might try the search function. I would never store a cue flat, always vertical. :)

as long its in a case to protect it and not exposed to extreme temperatures I don't think it matters if you lay it flat, vertical or side ways. I have mine on the top shelf of my closet stacked on top of each other

I just posted this question in the "ask the cuemakers" section recently if you want to ck it out. I would say vertical in a JB Case Chris Dealers Case, if you are trying to store a collection or a dealer, 12/24 looks like it would be the best thing that is portable that I have come across so far.
