There is never a guarantee, but the first thing to do is to try to work with someone who has a little of positive history. It won't take hanging around very long to figure who some of the "good guys" are. That doesn't mean that folks with low iTrader numbers, etc, are not good to deal with, you just need to try to have references, etc. A lot would also have to do with the value of the cue deal. I would be reluctant to do a real high end trade with a new poster, etc. In these cases, you can often find a mutual person to broker the deal for you.

There are plenty of folks on here that I would send a cue on their word alone. I know without a doubt that they would do exactly what they said they would do. I also know a couple that I would not want to deal with at all. The gray area between those are where you have to feel comfortable.

The transactions themselves are simple. We agree on a trade tonight, and we both ship out tomorrow via an agreed upon method.

Translation = Joe is one of the best guys to deal with on AZB......PERIOD! :)

For most of the guys I've dealt with, we did exactly what Joe mentions above. We come to a deal, and we both ship at the same time. We exchange tracking numbers, and touch base with each other once the cues arrive to their respective new owners.

Very rarely does something go wrong...but it does happen. Whoever you ship through, INSURE IT AND HAVE IT TRACKED. ADDITIONALLY....KEEP THE RECEIPTS!!!! Trust me on this one....if you can't prove you kept your end of the bargain, things get a bit hairy!!

No Argument there- from any one! Joe is awesome to work with.

Brokering the deal is the best way to go about it with a trusted name. Just to be safe. Whats the extra $20 shipping to insure a $500 purchase?

I've never done a trade here, but when I do, if it's not with Bama (cause then I KNOW that everything will be right;) ), I'm going to insist that either party can refuse the deal within 24 hours of arrival. There may be other stipulations (like 24 hours to hit a few balls), and still this is no guarantee, but I'll feel better. At that point one party may offer to add money, or not, but there's still room for negotiations if everyone remains a gentleman and keeps an open mind...Tom
