I visited the BB again for a straight pool session. Thought I had a lock as Wille had been gardening all morning, but lost a hard fought contest. As always, Willie and family are wonderful hosts. Highly recommended for those of you who get a chance.

Today you WOULD be a lock, I can hardly stand upright (man, I HATE that manual labor stuff). Great game, VERY close, anyone could have won. I hope you will return soon.
 
I heard WBM turns on the A/C so you can't do those 4 rail banks which come up so often in Straight Pool! :p

Hush up please. That was UNCOMFORTABLY close to the truth. What I do is run the dehumidifier for days before, then turn it off as we start playing (because the noise annoys me). This week I DID turn on the air conditioner when the day warmed up considerably.

I confess that the rails definitely played a little different at the end of the session than at the beginning (as the humidity increased). As you note, we do play straight pool, and any player who is shooting bank shots deserves what they get.

If eales doesn't like my "climate control" efforts, he can double our bet and I won't touch the controls.:)
 
I'm jealous! I only get to go out and play maybe twice a week... and almost never get to play straight pool... and you could play every day in your own home! Everyone always wants to play 9-ball and 1-hole down here... I don't even get to play 8-ball anymore unless I go to a tournament... although I did get to play some banks and some 3C not too long ago! I'd love a basement, but they don't make them down here standard... they call them graves!
