Being a bachelor this weekend I took the opportunity to venture from my humble abode here in the Cincinnati/Hamiltucky Metroplex and take the drive to the windswept plains of Central Indiana straight into Betmore’s Basement. I can honestly say a finer host I have never encountered even though he made me fetch my own bottled water from the fridge.
I had the pleasure meeting williebetmore’s wife, can’t recall the name. I think it was “whydontcha betmore” but I am not sure. All I can say is he “married up”
We played a spirited game of straight pool to 150. Along the way we took a break and WB showed me the “Williebetmore hosta garden and ARBORETUM. The darn slugs eat my hostas here in Ohio but Ms. Betmore did not seem to have that problem. Perhaps we can trade gardening tips in the future.
Anyway, the pool table we played on (Gold Crown) I can honestly say was the finest table I have played on in many moons, maybe in my life.
I sloooooow rolled a couple of balls (of course because I had left myself out of position ) and after I did it I looked at Don and said “dam this table plays nice” and he nodded his head in agreement.
Thanks Don. I really enjoyed the match, Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise we will do it again.
PS kudos to Ms. betmore for her awesome attention to architecheral deatails. they are quite beautiful.
