I exchanged e-mails via e-Bay with Jeff Forney on the Scruggs shirts and I asked if he was the same notorius person from AZ. He acknowledged that he was and that the postings on AZ were all bullshit and told me to simply look at his e-Bay record. Well, after reading all of the comments on AZ, I figured there was more to it than just believeing what he told me and I've written the guy off as someone to ever do business with. But he's still around selling pool items one way or another. I doubt whether eBay be inyetrested in the slightest about his questionable background and probably wouldn't do a darn thing since they enjoy the revenue from his listings.

Last time I looked peddling goods and profiting from someone else's name and reputation was likewise prohibited and in most states, criminal.

Absolutely, we all need to stick together on this kind of thing and keep eachother informed on this type of matter, it happens all to often. It is a shame that it puts doubt in the mind of anyone that wants to buy a billiard item or even their dream cue, SMH:sad:

Only one question. I've known Jeff Forney for years. He lives just outside Watkins Glen in Upstate New York. Never, ever heard a bad word about him. He and his partner have been playing on and off in Rochester. He plays at Super Billiard Expo. Rides a Harley. Works in the petroleum industry. Had a couple of cues in his case but nothing like the cues being discussed here. Is there any possibility there are two Jeff Forney's out there? ID theft is a big issue these days. Don't want to rain on your parade. I'm hoping there are two guys out there!

Don't know if I got lucky, but it was a good transaction.

Once again,
Jeff and I spent time playing together playing on a BCA team at Classic Billiards in Huntington WV (MINE)...
He NEVER badly traded,sold,or scammed anybody in my poolroom. He treated everyone fairly and coached several new players in the league. I cannot attest to any other treatment you accuse him of. However,if he has done these things,surely he should have some legal problems or postal fraud on his record at best. We are not buddies... I judge someone by how they act in my Business,around my customers,and in national competition settings that I can see how they are treated by their peers. He was treated like a friend and valued customer by everyone at the BCA nationals in Las Vegas we saw him around.
I DO appreciate and give weight to fellow AZer's info. Just hard to imagine it is the same man.

I suggest you go back and look at the plethora of complaints on bad deals with Jeff Forney....all can be found here with a simple search.
Yes, he does a few good deals, and then nails someone shortly thereafter. The proof is in the pudding. The bad deals have NOT been face-to-face deals...but using the US Mail. Has it occurred to you that the reason he has never done a bad face-to-face deal is because he doesn't want his a$$ beat? Not to mention it's easier to not ship a cue, than to rip someone off face-to-face.
Let's not mention his dozen(+) or so bannings because of such practices and his continuous reappearances with new monikers/IP addresses. Most honest people do not exhibit this type of behavior, over and over again.

So....you're implying that all those who have been ripped of by J Forney are not being TRUE?! That only your word is TRUE because you own a pool hall and happen to be friends with him? Is that your qualification for being TRUE? Sorry, but the BS flag is being thrown on this play.
Lyn....if you do the search here and read the threads, you will see where on multiple occasions, the address used by J Forney to receive payments has always been listed as Watkins Glen, NY. Coincidence?.....I think not!

There are others on AZ that had fair dealings with him. I only posted a COUNTERPOINT that I know to be FACT. That is.... How he treated the people in our BCA league and in the pool room. That is ALL I'm commenting on. It is NOT BS as you put it. We had over 50 people in our in house BCA league. None had bad dealing with Jeff....He and his girlfriend Toni were liked by all...
