Sadly this is our society today. The internet makes it far too easy to take advantage of others. You really need to do your homework when dealing with folks online. It's unfortunate that these scammers are making it very difficult for us honest people to buy, sell and trade anymore.

Yup. Sad indeed. I recently heard these scumbags can now digitally recreate the voice of someone you know. Scams and scammers are getting more and more sophisticated.

Another word of caution: I see a lot of people on here comment that they won't deal with anyone without talking to them first. While that's something, you can't trust that either. I once knew a guy from my old pool room who was a life-long con artist - never worked a day in his life. He once told me he could never get away with it if he didn't have the knack of appearing and sounding trustworthy. Everybody liked him. You would never guess in a million years what a POS he was.

Martin,
Is the imposter a member here? If so, please let me know. It will be a short lived stay.

My customer provided this information. Not sure he is a memeber her, but I think so as I believe he sent a PM to customer.

The lowlife scammer is likely not in the USA!

Martin,

They usually are not from the USA, but then some are. It's getting harder all the time as these scumbags are getting better at it every day. I'm glad they didn't get away with it this time!

Heres an old time scam.
A person comes the room and most of the times it's women selling a cue her Uncle left her.
Usually it's a fairly expensive cue (Joss.Pechauer etc) and offers it real cheap so someone buys it.
Soon after a couple of big guys come in and hunt you down saying the woman stole it and try to strong you out the cue with no refund.
What you do next is up to you.
