BHE vs Regular (Parrallel) english

The most important thing for using BHE is to find the pivot point for the cue you use. Each cue has a specific pivot point.

Fair enough.

I guess the better way to ask my question would be:

Do you change your pre-pivot aim point to compensate for the amount of throw that the sidespin will create, or does the BHE pivot take care of that compensation for you (along with the compensation for squirt)?

I was just using "center pocket" as a common target reference for the object ball.

Basically... On the 5 ball shot you talked about hitting with left english, would your pre-pivot aim point for the object ball be closer to the line on the left (which compensates for the throw caused by the left english), or the line on the right (which does not compensate for the throw)?

I do adjust aim for SIT effects on some shots. On the shot you diagrammed, with inside english around 20 degree cut, the throw is almost the same with heavy inside english when the speed gets up to about medium firm, as it is for medium speed follow. On a slow shot, you'd need to aim to overcut a little to compensate for throw.

Most of the adjustments I make are for outside english, which throw to the overcut side significantly.

Soft inside english shots thicken but I don't find many shots where soft inside shots provide much advantage. Usually I'm punching in those shots.

I've got charts for the amount of throw for all cut angles, speeds and types of spin, but some general rules make it pretty easy to guestimate required aim adjustments.
