9 ball tourn, Nov, 17th at Big Daddy's Billiards!! 1pm sharp

Anotherrrrrr bump for a great tournament!!

Big Daddy's Monthly tourn a success!!

I just wanted to give a BIG thank you out to everyone who played and to the spectators!!!!! Thanks!!!
We had a decent turnout of 26 players and we had some new names too!!!

Here is the results:
1st-Shaun "get-some"Wilkie!! .....$370.00
2nd-Freddy Scott........................$225.00
3rd-Rick Molineiro.......................$150.00
4th-Steve T................................$75.00

Again, a BIG thank you goes out to everyone!!!

We had some concerns about the calcutta. The last two tournaments we had... people were just not hardly participating? It seemed as if we were pressuring people....for instance the last tournament we had Brett Stottlemyer only went for something like $60!!!

Enough said.
PS- next time we will try again!!!

Prize Fund Total........................ $820.00

Lets just say everyone paid the the $45 Regular Player entry fee. Which we know was not the case with players like Shaun Wilkie, Alan Duty, Rick Molinero, Fred Scott, Dave Beegle and others. But for argument, we will base it on regular entry fee price.

26 Players times $45 entry fee is $1,170

OK,,, we paid out $820 out of a $,1,170...
Thats means $350 was taken out of the prize fund.
That equals roughly $13.46 a player.

We know there was much more taken out beacuse the advanced players paid $65 and the Pros paid $85.

This is a pretty good deal when the house makes more money than the guy who wins the tournament.

Im just curious. What was served for lunch. Prim Rib and baked potatoe.

Rooms basically shut down their business for the entire day when running a tournament as all or the majority of the 4 1/2 x 9's are being used for the tournament. This means their only means of generating revenue from their tables comes from the tournament entry fees. I applaud Big Daddy's for running their monthly tournament! So in short...you're a dick with an obvious axe to grind against Big Daddy's.

Great place, dont knock it...

Nice poolroom with excellent tables, good clientele. I've only been there a dozen times in the past couple years. They get food, all table time and practice included, run the numbers, etc. They aren't making that much when you factor in all the everyday costs to run the business including heat/ac, insurance, electric, etc.

People???

As if the economy isn't bad enough to have to deal with....you still have to deal with people that don't have a clue!!

I have heard nothing but good about the tournaments that I run for years(until now) from some idiot!
Everyone has always told me that it sure is a nice deal to have an entry fee thats resonable....and out of that includes your greens fee and a lunch!!!

So, like I announced way back when when we started....and I'm announcing it again in case someone new comes and it's not completely clear.

$30 goes to prize fund and $15 goes to lunch and the greens fee to total $45.

You will always find one IDIOT!! WOWWW!!

Thanks!!

By the way I just wanted to say thanks to Wedge and jrosen007 for their compliments!! Thanks and see ya next time peeps!!

Every entry has $15 on top... to cover greens fee and a lunch.
Yumm yummmm!!

And no it's not steak and lobster but, the Tuna, chicken and meatballs are the money!!!:)
