Big leak at the derby

ONE OF THE VENDORS, SHANE JACKSON, POSTED A PHOTO OF A HUGE PUDDLE FROM A LEAK IN THE CEILING JUST OUTSIDE THE TOURNEY ROOM AT THE DERBY.

HOPE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS DURING THE TOURNEY.

Really hope this doesn't cause issues. Since we haven't had any rain, it undoubtedly is a pipe leak and not a roof leak thank goodness. But boy, that's gonna leave a dingy smell for a few days I imagine.

I'm not sure if it's public. But there was a fire at the casino and a lot of carpet was flooded. . Carpet drying crews are hard at work

If anything else happens, one could start jumping to conclusions that this isn't coincidental. That's just bad luck, IMO.

Smoking has been relegated to the bar and on of the riverboat only... No more smoking in the commisary or the hallways... Think this is the 3rd year for the change???? 2nd for 100% sure.....

That's a nice change. In 2011 it was pretty bad walking through there.

Yep Renfro is right. Last year was the first year for the smoking change.

So, maybe Ill bring some carpet fresh and throw down occasionally!! :D

Or they could pour beer in the water soaked carpet for an even better aroma!:thumbup:

Maybe the casino will comp us all a couple days off our stay at the hotel for the inconvenience.
Or maybe a few free meals.
Or a couple pints of ice cream, yes, a few pints of ice cream would make me feel compensated.

The Horseshoe notified us that our Friday check in time has been pushed back from 1 to 4. Pretty minor change. I can deal with that.
 
yáll might want to make sure that there isn't a shortage of rooms, due to the fire. and yes, you can absolutely get comped something!

when the Monte Carlo caught fire, they moved everyone to MGM & upgraded them to suites.

when i stayed at Stratosphere, there was mold in the room (we think in the carpet) that caused me to have a full-blown asthma attack by Day 7. driving back to CA beach, we drove straight into urgent care & i was in bed for 2 days. they refunded 100% hotel, reimbursed for urgent care, and comped me a future week's stay.

yáll should be able to get a discount on rooms, or at bare minimum a daily meal comp to get you OUT of the room for awhile. Harrah's does NOT want ANY bad press.

Now I really wish I could have gone this year. Looking forward to seeing you on the stream. By the way, when does the stream start?
