Bump this event up to the top!!

There's a lot of chatter about this straight pool tournament this coming weekend at Bill and Billie's in Arnold, MD.

Ryan "Genie Man" McCreesh has always favored straight pool when he grew up in New York State, and I ran into him last night, and he can't wait for this weekend. Ryan has always been an excellent straight pool player.

As an aside, Ryan stated that Joss Tour TD Mike Zuglan is one of the BEST 14.1 players he's ever witnessed. There are quite a few straight pool champions in New York, and it is the game of choice by many native New Yorkers.

A week ago, Maryland Power Breaker Gerry Slivka ran 275 balls before a crowd of onlookers, and Gerry is gearing up for this event and will be there.

I'm anxious to see how this tournament unfolds! :)

Hey JAM,

Do you know of any places to stay near Bill and Billies?

Barbara

Barbara, here's a link to nearby hotels: http://reservations.hotel-guides.us...s=1&num_beds=1&smoking_pref=NP&Go=Find+Hotels

There is not a hotel within walking distance to Bill and Billie's in Arnold. I was told that the Super 8 is very bad. Comfort Inn looks like the best bet. These hotels are in Annapolis right off Route 50, which is a 5- to 10-minunte drive to Bill and Billie's. Hope this helps.

Glen Burnie, MD is also close to Arnold, MD and may offer some good lodging facilities as well.

Since this tournament is on a weekend, the room rates are prime in Annapolis region, but if you call them individually, you may be able to get a better deal. JMHO, FWIW!
