As reported by Todd Marsh on Facebook today:

"Bill Cress has throat cancer. This message is for the pool community and the ones that would like to visit him before he declines too far. Now is the time to see him. Park Ridge Assisted Living in Shoreline, WA #201."

Bill is a great guy and has played most of his adult life and I'm sure many AZers has had the pleasure of knowing and playing with and against him. He gave my wife a few pointers when she first started to play and just loves Bill for this. He has help many players including me with their game. He is a fantastic player too.

Bills on my prayer list..........

I might have met Bill Cress in Vegas. I wish him the best of luck with that. Sounds like the sentence he talked about was that darn cigerette smoke.

Someday the smoke will be gone everywhere.

Good Luck there my friend...............

Wow sorry to hear this as I am just now reading the book "Playing off the Rail" and the part with Billy Cress playing Tony Annigoni up in Seattle. Sounds like he was a real big of a guy who was a hotheaded gambler who would play for big stakes, which makes this a good read. Get well soon Billy Cress and I hope you'll be back in action soon

Bill is an old school guy and one of pools great characters, who plays all game very well.

Hang in there Bill and beat this thing.

Sorry to hear such sad news (again). Thoughts and prayers going out to Bill.
