Contact lenses.

I've tried them all.
Hundreds of dollars later I finally broke down and got contacts, went through
the couple of weeks it takes to get used to sticking your finger in your eyes
and the results are infinitely better than any glasses can do.

I'll pass on the contacts route. Much easier to put on a pair of glasses.

Can't wear contacts as I need bifocals to see. They actually make bifocal contacts, but the eye doctor said your vision with them is not as crisp, that there is often a small amount of blur associated with them.

I recently bought a pair of glasses from Bill and he gets a 5 star rating from me. Extremely high quality frames and lenses. I prefer the glasses he made to the varilux progressives I bought a few weeks prior to ordering the billiard glasses. In the future Bill will get all of my eye ware business

Thank you for your kind words!!

If one have just a dioptrical issue, the contacts can be cats meow, except for people whose eyes can´t stand being covered with rather impermeable material of the lenses.

But for us who have astigmatism (cylindrical aberration) in our eye lens, the contacts are a no-go. Pricey as hell and a lil´wee bit off alignement means an instant headache and the worse fact is, that the results are worse than without them. The astigmatism means that round objects are seen out of round and your brain compensates for this in a way which is always way off the precision needed for pool.
The glasses are the only option here.

Need some Pool Glasses !

Hello All, I just got my prescription and need some new Pool Glasses as well.
Do you offer any type of discount to AZ members Mr. Curran (doesn't hurt to ask!)
Have a great weekend.....

Wish I could wear them man.. I went through a bunch and they just couldn't get them right.

I have a pair of DECOT HY-WYD sport/pool glasses which are probably best pool glasses available but thery’re still not as good as contacts.

I like contacts better than glasses. I have a 2.50 in one eye and a 1.75 in the other. After about a week my brain blended the images together. I can see very well for pool.

Hands down contacts for me- I can see 20/40 without correction- good enough for casual practice or games but if I really want to dial it in- I go to disposable contacts- I tried DECOT and Curran billiard eyewear over the years and gave up on both- it gets very expensive to change out those lenses as your eyes change and neither pair of glasses ever seemed as comfortable or sharp as just using one day disposable Accuvue lenses which I can buy for $1 each on the internet now.

Mine did not work out. Eyewear sitting in drawer. Went to regular optician for large frame glasses. Described what i need and he accommodated

For me glasses make the balls smaller but with sharp edges, contacts are not as sharp but the depth perception is better and the balls look larger. I’ve worn contacts since the 70’s starting with the hard contacts that you’d need to boil every night. The disposable soft contacts are great and I’d used them for years for playing pool. I eventually got some billiards glasses from a Canadian place and haven’t looked back. No hassle with contacts and I see fine, practice more since I can just put on the glasses, more practice better game. Basically the hassle with contacts wasn’t worth it. But I ain’t as purdy in glasses🥸
