"Billiard Player"

I was pleasantly surprised to see this so-called billiard collectible from the 1950s on the Internet, and I was wondering if anyone has access to these cool pool jewels.

They have some tropheys and other pool paraphernalia. However, the print media is what really interests me.

There are some fine resources available, National Billiards Newsletter, Snap, Billiards Digest, InsidePOOL, Pool and Billiards Magazine, On the Break, and several others whose name escapes me right now.

The older ones, though, are what I am interested in. Has anybody heard of this one before, the Billiard Player? Here's one from October 1955. WOW!

Check out this table iron used to smooth the green cloth!

I'm sure it must have all been green back then.

Being a native Washingtonian, I think I gotta have this one with the U.S. Capitol on it. I've never heard of this product before! It costs 75 bucks for this collectible!
