I've been trying to find a painting for my reck room of some pool balls. I've found web sites that sell posters but I'm looking for a painting. I've done searches for billiard art and billiard paintings but I can't find anything.
Has anyone ever come across a web site that sell billiard artwork, not posters.
Do any of you know someone that might be able to do a painting for me. Like I said, I'm looking for something with pool balls but I don't just want just circles with numbers. I would like to have the balls look as real as can. ... Thanks, Joe

I have a digital painting from a local artist/sculptor named Mary Soniat du Fossat. It is called "The Win". If I ever get a pool room, it will hang there.

Mary does all sorts of unique art but does not play pool. She is the wife of a friend. You can google Mary if you like. If you need further information, please let me know.

joe keehn...PM Mike Page here. He owns Fargo Billiards, in Fargo ND (the nicest poolroom in the USA), and commissioned a local artist to create a series of pool ball paintings for his new room. I took several pictures of the huge paintings (3' x 5'), and a friend helped me get them posted here. Do a search for Fargo Billiards, and you'll find the thread where they are posted. Very likely you could have a painting done by this fellow. They are amazingly lifelike.

Tom and Dave Birkbeck did a lot of original art - I don't know what their status is these days:

Of course I'd be really remiss if I didn't mention Linda Pault of RidetheNine - http://www.rt9ny.com/gallery.htm

While we are on the subject of art - 16 years ago I was at the trade show in Kansas City and I traded a case for a piece done by a Florida artist. I gave that painting up when I left Instroke Germany as it was technically theirs. Does anyone remember the name of a South Florida artist who was dong pool paintings back then?

I want to say that it is a latin name and something with a a V.

I don't know your location, but if there is a college or university close by stop in the art department.
You can probably get a talented student to do an original painting for a very reasonable fee.
