Billiard Room construction question (Central Florida)

I am in the process of contacting general contractors for quotes on extending the back of my home by 10-15 feet for a billiard room, (+ bathroom/changing room for pool) and I was wondering if anyone in the central Florida area has recently had any renovations/construction done on their home. Perhaps done the same thing? Adding a billiard room to their house?

Looking for $/sq ft cost for this sort of work, and if there is any way to save money on this construction. Perhaps some easier things I can do myself, but don't know I can do myself?

I have paid off just about all my bills, and looking at making my trip to Iraq as short as possible. The less expensive I can get this work done, the better. I am pretty sure I can do carpeting myself.. My Dad can probably do the electrical work, so I am basically needing just four walls. Any ideas on the going rate?

Thanks for any info..

The Purdman can come down and knock out the AC for ya Russ! After all, you are one of my favorite posters!;) No problem, I could use a little vacation this winter. Florida would work for me.:D

You serious? I actually am going to need the whole AC system done. BEFORE the addition, my AC unit was underpowered for my sq footage. My electric bills are $400+ in summertime!

Where in Florida are you? I am a finish carpenter in Ormond Beach, and I work for several contractors, one of which is a very close friend. We could probably do almost everything you need done at a reasonable cost. PM me for contact info.

Thanks, Matt.
