My buddy and I will be leaving a week from Saturday for Bordeaux, France to watch the 3C World Championships on a bucket list trip. We are bringing our cues and hope to be able to play some while we are there (to be honest, we are both pretty lousy players).
Can anyone who has been to France tell me a little about billiard room protocols there? Are there commercial, open to the public, rooms or is it all clubs? Will we have any problems getting to play somewhere?
We have heard stories about how in Europe they start you off with straight rail on a small table and don't let you play 3C on the big table before you are proficient in the smaller games/tables.
Any insights that anyone who has been there can give me would be appreciated.
