Billiard Sanctuary/Timothy White DVD's

Good product

As a pool instructor I see numerous experienced players with poor fundamentals and they can't understand why they are missing shots. It is sometimes difficult to get back to fundamentals especially when you may never have learned them in the first place. Most players just pick up a cue and start shooting. Tim's videos are somewhat slow, I believe by design. He uses a step by step approach to teach the basics for all levels of players. If you stick with it and take the time to send him a video of you shooting, he will give you an excellent stroke analysis. The stroke analysis came free when I purchased the videos. After years of teaching, he showed me a slight wrist curl that I had - I worked on eliminating it and I am missing fewer shots. The nudity in the videos is a distraction for some - there are people that don't like Jeanette Lee because of her sexy dress. Obviously the APA liked it and is using her for marketing. I won't judge the sexual content in Tim's videos or even comment on it place in pool - thats a matter of personal preference - I've seen worse on TV. Additionally, the fundamentals that Tim teaches are similar to other videos - the difference is in his step by step approach. Most other videos do not break each shot down into the basic components and show the details of body position, alignment, vision and stroke. If you have the videos - I suggest looking at each one - you can always fast forward past the sceenes that you find objectionable. You have nothing to lose.

I thought there was a lot of good stuff of these dvds. I feel there was some material that could have been left out. For example, he shoots a trick shot off of a girls bare ass. Was this really necessary? He is running along the beach naked in another segment. Was this really necassarly?
In my opinion there are other videos that also do a good job? I watch a lot of videos. I thought these were good. I believe there are many that are just as good.
Ron Vitello's aiming dvds will be available in the fall. I would highly recommend these.
