anyone purchase this persons training before from billiard systems . com
he has a very helpful 3 part video on youtube about the natural system

anyone buy bill smiths training dvd? I plan to at some point

once I have my table im going to take some masking tape and mark all the dots with the numbers and hopefully will help me pick up the diamond system

I do not know about the billiardsystems.com, but I have pretty much everything that Bill Smith has put out and they are excellent. They contain great info for beginners through advanced players depending on what it is you are interested in.

Good luck,
Dave

I'd strongly recommend any of Robert Byrne's books and Sid Banner's 3 Cushion Billiard Systems book by far. Sid's book was a great help to me for understanding the diamond system, the various other systems, and tracks on the table. Just my $.02.

Welcome to the "endangered" species known as 3 cushion player ;)

I would second Bill Brynes books. In my opinion, there is no other place to start. Practice those systems. Then practice some of the easier shots he has documented.

Next, go to Youtube. Pause it before the pro takes the shot. What would you shoot? How would you stroke it? What kind of speed would you use? Press play. See what the pro did. Was it the same as your shot? If not, why? Do you know that shot? If not, learn it. If so, why did they take that shot, and not the one you were thinking?

My two cents, and probably not even worth that...

i am a pocket billiard player but very interested in billiard systems for kicking purposes
i found the billiard systems, com to be very informative and well done
the principles of how each system works and calcuating adjustments from different starting places and areas of the table are explained in a thorough way
i dont believe it will work from a windows 8 computer

less players equals less chances to encounter the pool hall jackass

In my experience.....it's a rare occasion to encounter a 3c player who's an A$$. Different mentality I guess. Don't know for sure. I think most of us are just happy to FIND A TABLE let alone find another player who actually plays.

Enjoy the journey my friend ;)

The series seems to have been produced by Accu-Stats. The videos are not in their catalog that I can find. You should try calling their 800 number.

The person who did the narration is Roberto Arana, a very good player from Florida. There are Android Apps available related to the material: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Roberto+Arana&hl=en

I bought 3 of the DVD years ago as they were rolling them out. They were difficult to follow as you had to read the text the click to the diagram of vis versa. So you had to click back and forth trying to figure out what the heck they were saying. They put heavy security with Product Keys to open them up so you had to keep keys which were emailed. Back in the day when you got a new computer because of a hard drive crash you lost your email along with it. 2 computers ago I thought I'd take a look again but couldn't find the keys. Gave them a call and they didn't have them. Their solution was to purchase new CD's as they couldn't be expected to keep track of all their customers and I couldn't prove I purchased their products. I gave up on the idea.

I may look at an Android App. I can risk a dollar.
