Hey AZB-members!

Almost a year ago, my "billiard-app-development-journey" started with the very first version of "Practice 14.1", providing players around the globe with an easy to use tool to track and analyze their practice sessions and matches of 14.1 straight pool.

Since then, I was able to constantly evolve the app, thanks to numerous user feedback: New game formats like 8-Ball / 9-Ball / 10-Ball, advanced statistics and a lot of small improvements have been added. And by adding support for Android devices in April this year, most players can now make use of the app and benefit from it.

While the initial thread was created in the 14.1 section of the forum - which made sense at that time - and because of the changes over the last 12 months, I thought it was also worth sharing in the main forum again, so many more can make use of it.

By now, the app name has changed from Practice 14.1 to BilliardManager - the management companion on your billiard journey. Additionally, some new features were added to the app, too:
  • Completely revised filter options, which can now also be applied to the workouts list
  • A new timeline view now clearly shows the game progress of played sessions
  • The digital scoreboard now contains the most important information you need when playing with the app

Furthermore, BilliardManager Pro was launched as a paid upgrade option - for the ultimate app experience:
  • Get access to the new game formats Blackpool, One-Pocket and Bank-Pool
  • Play games for time or innings
  • Manage your training partners and filter by playing partners to see your personal record against a specific player
  • Distinguish between training and competition games
  • Use the app completely without ads and support future development

If you have installed Practice 14.1 already, you should receive the new update automatically. Otherwise, you can always download the BilliardManager app directly from here:

Really looking forward hearing your thougths, opinions, feedback, suggestions for new features, ... simply everything that helps building an even better app tomorrow! :)

Cheers
Phil

Will give it a shot.

Forgive my ignorance… would it be challenging to add a break speed feature? There seems to only be one made by predator but seems like they abandoned it. The break speed app is begging to have charts and export data capabilities.

Sounds great, looking forward hearing your feedback on it!

I know the app by predator and quite liked it ever since, but you seem to be right, that they stopped the development on it. Unfortunately, replicating the feature with its audio tracking isn't trivial at all. Maybe you reach out to Predator directly in order get more information on their future plans for it?
