Billiards atlas

If you are talking about the Walt Harris books, then I'd have to say no personally.

Every billiard player I know uses the corner 5, but many get overwhelmed when I show them systems from his books.

Some people are number oriented, and can calculate quickly, others just are unable or unwilling to learn more complicated systems.

Anybody look at it and just say wtf?
The problem with the Atlases is that there is very little explanation. If you want to learn one of the systems, you will have to work out the details on your own. If you don't put in that much effort but instead just learn the general outlines of a system and a few typical shots within the system it might at least lead you to a reasonable shot that you might not see otherwise.

Systems

If you know your way around the computer even a little...you can , as have I, found most of the remaining information from of his tid-bits through sites from Japan, Mexico, Spain. and Bill Smiths book. Even some of those sites you have to figure a few things out for yourself. IMO think it's interesting stuff to dabble with. I find that eventually a lot of information from sytems are related to other systems. They just attach different numbers to the rail and ball. Some of them have even found there way to this site from other players. I think most systems dont just fall into your brain...you have to use them awhile and see if it fits your game and figure out if it really helps you or hinders you.
